Global History H1H
Commences with a study of the methods employed by social scientists. It
explores man¡¯s struggle to bring order from chaos in different
societies of the world as they interact with their environment which
forms the theme for the course. Students are taught to use the skills
of historical inquiry including primary and secondary sources and to
examine the history, cultures, and belief systems of several areas of
the world. The societies include classical Greek, Roman, Han, Gutpa,
Tang, and Byzantine empires. Special emphasis is placed on history and
culture as a basis for comprehension and appreciation of the humanities.

World History & Geography
World history from the Enlightenment era to more recent events in worlf history. This class culminates in a NY State Regents exam that all 10th grade students are required to pass.
