NYPL Free Online Tutoring

Get free online homework help from one-on-one tutors, online daily from 2–11 PM. Available in English and Spanish, from K-12, in core subject areas. Video content and other resources are also available 24 hours a day.

Start learning with the Library's partner in one-on-one tutoring, Brainfuse. Log in with your library card number for access. Please note: library cards must have a home library selected. If you need to select a home library, log into your account and click on Settings to set your Preferred Pickup location. If you sign up for a card through SimplyE, you must complete this step once your barcode has been emailed to you.

New York Public Library - SimplyE -  provides access to ebooks, audiobooks, and databases.

Queens Public Library - eCard Application – provides access to digital media resources and databases.

Brooklyn Public Library - eCard Application  - provides access to eBooks,  audiobooks, and Flipster.

 

eBooks

MackinVIA - access to eBooks, read-alongs, audiobooks, databases, and videos. Requires a user name and password to access. (see Guide to Bayside High School Databases)

Internet Library Open Library - an open, editable library catalog, building towards a web page for every book ever published.

Comics Plus - free access to comics, graphic novel and manga. You must enter a user name and password. These can be found in our databases pamphlet.

Marvel Unlimited - free comics  through May 4, 2020. Download or update the Marvel Unlimited app for iOS or Android at the respective Apple and Google Play app stores, and click “Free Comics” on the landing screen. 

Lit2Go - a free, online collection to stories and poems.

Project Gutenberg - a library of over 60,000 ebooks.

NYPL SimplyE App - SimplyE is The New York Public Library's free e-reader app that makes it easier than ever to borrow e-books. It is available on the App Store or Google Play.

Junior Library Guild - free ebooks, author interviews, books talks, and more!

Abdo Digital Bookshelf - free ebooks. Can search by grade level, genre, subject, etc.
