About the Library

 

Hours

The Library is open from 7:10 am - 4:15 pm.

Students may come during lunch or a free period with their program cards. The library is subject to close for classes and testing.

 

Print Collection

The library has approximately 18,000 books in the collection including many reference books and a large assortment of fiction.

 

 

 

To check out a book simply present an ID card. Books can be borrowed for three weeks and may be renewed.

 

Magazines

The library subscribes to over 80 magazines. Students may read them in the library, but they cannot be checked out.

 

Computers & Databases

The library has 12 computers equipped with Microsoft Office. Students may do school work and print out assignments. Through the Internet, we have access to various magazine and newspaper databases. Some databases have a specific focus such as history, science, health, literature and biographies. Visit the Electronic Resources page to view all the databases.

We also subscribe to Noodle Tools - a program that generates MLA citations (works cited).

 

Textbooks

The library has copies of most textbooks used in the school. These are to be used in the library only.

 

 

 

Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC)

The library is automated. Students can access the library catalog from anyplace with an Internet connection through the OPAC link.
